Our Story

Careclean Essex was born from a serendipitous moment of inspiration. It all started when Kevin Barber, a local Essex resident, had a carpet cleaner visit his home.

After the cleaner left behind a presentation folder, Kevin found himself intrigued by the before-and-after photos and thought, “I can do that.” Around the same time, Kevin was made redundant and took advantage of a government training program designed for those looking to start anew.

With determination and a vision, Kevin and his wife Julie set out to build a business that would become a trusted name in home and upholstery cleaning throughout Essex.

Our Legacy

Though Kevin and Julie Barber are no longer at the helm, their dedication and values remain the cornerstone of Careclean Essex. To this day, Kevin continues to visit local homes, offering personalized quotes and sharing his wealth of experience with our customers. Their story is woven into the very fabric of our company, inspiring us to maintain the high standards they set from the beginning.

Our Team

Today, Careclean Essex is driven by a passionate team of four skilled technicians—Connor, Shawn, Vinny, and Simon—alongside our fantastic office manager, Deb. Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge and a friendly, professional touch to every service we provide. Kevin, alongside Lawrence, still visits homes and businesses across Essex to deliver quotes, ensuring that personal, caring service remains at the forefront of what we do.
