Commonly Asked Questions
After you’ve given me a quote how long is it before I can have the work done?
It varies on the time of year, however the average wait is around 2 weeks. We do sometimes get a last minute space if a customer rearranges a job, so please let us know if the work is urgent.
How many people come to do the job?
For most jobs, one of our cleaning technicians is sufficient. However, we can send more of our team if we need to move lots of furniture or if it is a big job.
Will the cleaning technician(s) move furniture?
When we visit you to give you your quote, we will discuss what we/you will need to be move. Generally we will move settees and armchairs but we ask customers to move smaller items such as side tables and valuable ornaments.
Do you need to park near the property?
We use top of the range truck-mounted cleaning machines; as our machines are mounted in our vans, we will need to park fairly close to where we are cleaning. However the cleaning pipes will go a long way; so as long as it’s not 3rd floor upwards we can cope with most situations.
What if I do live on the 3rd floor or above?
Unfortunately, we will not be able to complete the job, however we can recommend another local cleaner who will be able to help.
Do you need water/electricity?
Our cleaning machines use fuel and water from our van, so we can do the majority of jobs without using your water or electricity.
How long will the job take?
With our powerful top of the range truck-mounted cleaning system, cleaning is much more efficient and quicker than when cleaned with a portable system. However, as we offer such a wide range of services, job time can vary from 30 minutes to an entire day! We take our time and give each job the time it needs, however we can provide you with an approximate completion time when you book, to help you plan your day.
How long do the carpets/upholstery take to dry after cleaning?
Where possible we use dryers at the end of our cleaning which speeds up the drying. Your carpets will be be fully dry within a few hours. We advise you to leave upholstery for 24 hours to fully dry before using. If we apply protection treatment to your carpets, drying will take a little longer.
Are Careclean insured?
We have public liability insurance and insurance for treatment risks; this covers any problems caused by our cleaning. All of our staff are fully trained, and we are proud to say that in 34 years of cleaning we have never had to use our insurance.
How can I pay?
We accept card payment, cash and cheque.
How do you work out your charges?
Before giving a price, we will visit your home to give you a free quote. There are many factors that affect the price, including: the size of the room/upholstery, if the room has furniture in it, if you want protection applied etc. By visiting you, we can give you an accurate price for your requirements.
